If there is righteousness in the heart,
There will be beauty in the character.
If there is beauty in the character,
There will be harmony in the home.
If there is harmony in the home,
There will be order in the nation.
If there is order in the nation,
There will be peace in the world.

Walking
Saturday I took my sweet mother in law out for a walk. I pushed her in her wheelchair around the driveway and through the flowers. It was peacful and tender and so beautiful. We looked at the trees and flowers and picked a few blackberries that were left and ate them right there on the spot. She said "oh those are so yummy". We had little Ainsley with us and she sat on grandma's lap while we pushed and she helped feed grandma the blackberries. It was such a simple moment and yet so powerful at the same time. It was beautiful and sunny. The warmth of the sun helped with our mood. Mom kept kissing A.J. on the top of her head like she never wanted to forget this moment. She would giggle a little and then close her eyes and rest for a moment. When we went back inside I made her a rootbeer float (something she is craving right now) and then we got her into bed and I kissed her forhead and told her "I love you"and she closed her eyes and fell asleep. I left the room and snuck back in a few minutes later to watch her sleep. I couldnt help it. I did not want to say goodbye. I feel like every goodbye hurts so much. And yet I am commforted in knowing we are part of a bigger picture. Of something so powerful that will transend time.

My Addiction
So I am following Joettes example from her blog and telling what my addiction is. Mine will not have the same reaction as hers though. Which by the way is hallarious if you have read her comments she has recieved.

Anyway... I have found something I thought I could never do and yet I got brave one day and decided to take the class. I am so glad I did not let my fears override all other emotions in this because I have found that I love it! It's spinning. I have never sweat so much in my life and yet I cannot get enough of it. I go 6 days a week. So is it odd to be addicted to exercise? I joined the gym last spring and never thought the day would come when I could not spend enough time there. Of course I have great friends who have helped me to keep going. We have our routines and stuff we do together and I could not have ever done it without them because I would never have walked through those gym doors by myself. But now I do and now I can. Granted I am still the largest one in the gym most days but who cares .... I am doing something about it and I love spinning.
So I tried another class and this one I am not so sure about. I have to go to another place in my head to get through the class because if I dont I will laugh through the whole thing. Its called Nia and I deffinitly have to put on my hemp necklace and my free flowing sarong to keep up with these ladies in class. I think it is a great form of release only its hard to get used to wearing bare feet in class.
I think next week I will start yoga. :) Yipee!

Goodbye Summer!
I have always told myself I would love having all of my kids in school. And I have always loved when fall came. But this year I wanted to hold on to summer just a little longer. Isaac started kindergarten yesturday. I have not decided if I am happy or sad about that....just very thankful and grateful I guess that he is so excited he can hardly stand it. So we sent him to school for the first day in his new bright spongebob shirt that he picked out himself from Target. We figured it was so bright that the teacher would never forget him or lose him. As you can see from these pictures that he is loving life and going to school. When I went to pick him up from school he came out with an envelope in his hand....with his tooth in it. Yep the kid with the bright yellow spongebob shirt also lost his tooth on the first day of school. Now we know he will not be lost in the crowd. Watch out for that kid he is ready to take on his new world. This morning (2nd day of school) he rode the bus and loved it! Had no problem jumping into the swing of rutine. He just makes me smile. Love that boy!
Ashlee is in 5th grade this year and is so excited because she got the greatest teacher in 5th grade. Alyssa is a little nervous because in 7th grade you have more teachers and she is afraid she wont be able to keep up with it all but is still excited because she gets to take orchestra and chior both. No worries Alyssa you will do just fine. And Taylor is now a freshman in high school. I have no pictures of Taylor up here yet because on his first day he woke up late and that started in the frenzy of trying to get him out the door to early morning seminary. I will post one when he is relaxed and I can get a picture of him. His days start with waking at 5:30am leaving for seminary at 6:30 and then football after school and then arriving home about 5:30pm. Poor guy.
Life in our home is now back to routines, pecils, paper, packed lunches and crazy fun! I will miss the lazy days of summer but look forward to fall with eagerness!
