More Trekken

It would seem I had nothing to worry about. Look at the amazing smiles he showed during different moments on the trek. He had a good time and I think learned alot about himself and the pioneers too.
We love our Taylor bug!

Trekken

These last few months we have been preparing our 14 year old son Taylor to do a pioneer trek with our whole stake youth. This morning I drove him and dropped him off. It was so hard for me to let him go. I dont know why but I just cried and cried for him. He was worried a little bit and I can not help but start to worry when he worries. Usually he is confident with things but he was just kind of quiet about this. I know he will have a great expeirience with everything. I sent him along with one of my amazing pioneer stories and I was hoping it would have a little more impact on him than it did. Maybe it did and he was just keeping quiet about it. He is not like my girls who tell me everything thats on their minds. Taylor is quiet when it comes to his thoughts. Except for yesturday when we signed up for aunt Joettes french class that she will be teaching at Taylors high school. He was pretty excited about that. Although I am not so sure he is excited about taking french. He has not comprihended that part yet. I think he is just so happy that Joette will be there at his high school.
Anyway keep him in your prayers this week.

Homesick

I am homesick for peace in my life. I can not seem to find it right now. Its always just waiting on the outskirts of things. I turned to the scriptures for my answer yesturday and it just so happened that I turned to Doctrine and Covenants 29:39..... if we did not know the bitter we could not know the sweet. Oh how I love to find the answers I need in the scriptures. I love their teachings. I know that peace will fill my life again. I know that enduring is the key. I know that keeping Heavenly Father close is the key. Sometimes I get a little homesick. Thats the only way I can describe it..... I miss it.
