Oh may the luck of the Irish be with ye today! It makes me just want to riverdance my whole day away! Eat lucky charms...green eggs and ham...cornbeef and cabbage...wash in an irish spring...watch Leap Year and PS I Love You... Oh I love today!
My Murphy heritage comes out on this day more than any others...Why you might be wondering? Well growing up a Murphy has it's special holidays.... this is the biggest! :) My dad loved this day and I inherited the love for my heritage from him. Our first Murphy's can be traced all the way back to a little irish boy stowing away on a ship to sail for the Americas. So exciting (I know). I tell this story so much and yet my kids keep forgetting it! I think they do it so I can tell them the story over and over again. I know they will grow to love it just as much as I do...someday. I remember spending hours out in our yards in Seattle just searching and wishing and hoping I would find a four leaf clover. We don't have as much green foilage here as I did growing up but every once in while I come accross a pasture full of clover and I always stop and remember my days as a youth searching and thinking "I would be the luckiest girl in the world if I found a four leaf clover". Fond memories that I treasure. Thank you mom and dad for your appriciation of our heritage. I love you and happy St. Patricks day!
So wear your green and have a lucky day!
