So Alyssa and I just returned from girls camp. It was fun and spiritual and all that. It was a good bonding time for all of us girls in our ward. I think it was a little late in the season though. I usually am thinking school now but all I could do for the last month was get girls camp stuff ready. And now that all that is done I am ready for the routine of school again. I think my kids are too. I can't wait for the home cookin to start again. I automatically start to cook soups and breads and desserts when the weather cools off. I love it! I love fall. I love it when I can freshen my house by opening a window instead of turning on the A/C. I always love the next season when it comes. I think that is one great thing about where we live. The change of seasons. I am ready for it.
I am making lists for the things I will be getting done in my house when I have the days of kids in school. I am looking forward to accomplishing some tasks that have been put on hold for summer playing. I am now ready for the bouquets of sharpened pencils to come out and for the scotch tape and all the binders and paper and crayons. I have the full spectrum of school supplies to shop for...all 4 kids in school now full time. Wow! I can hardly believe this time has come. Isaac in 1st grade. I thought he would never reach school age and here it is. Ashlee going into middle school 6th grade...oh my sweet innocent Ashlee I love you and fear for middle school cause kids can be so mean and I dont want them to squash your sweet spirit. Alyssa in 8th grade. thinking about that gives me a headache. I remember my 8th grade year so well and I thought I knew it all. :) Alyssa just remember I was there once too. And Taylor.....holy cow is now a sophmore... and taller than me! See I dont feel like I am old enough in my head to have a child who turns 16 this year. In my head I am still that young.... its my body that reminds me everyday that I am not that young anymore. Oh well thats what brings beauty to life right.... our aging gracefully.
So this is the season for getting my house in order and I am so excited. I am going to take apart each room one by one and pretend we are moving and dejunk. And then repaint those rooms that need it. I have helped a few people move lately and I am so thankful I did because it really made me see how much junk stuff I really have and what we can live without. And how good it feels to walk into a clutter free room. It really makes my spirit feel better when there is no junk and clutter around. I am thinking of enrolling in some classes this year and getting organized is one I am looking at. Also photography is another one. I have always dreamed and dabbled in the idea of going back to school. This last months visiting teaching message was on education and I thought that could not have come at a better time for me. I will get my house in order and then get my "mind" in order. And also restart my gym routine which I have totally taken a break from. So stinking hard to get back into once you stop.... and that makes the clothes so stinkin hard to get into also if you know what I mean.
